Welcome newly admitted School Psych students joining us in 2018-2019!
We are so excited that you have decided to join our program, and we can’t wait to meet you! We’ve got tons of welcome events planned for you in the fall, like our annual welcome back BBQ and a meet and greet where you can ask second-year students all your questions about the program. New this year, the program Faculty are organizing a reception to welcome new students this spring, and you will receive an invitation directly from the program with more information.
In the meantime, I’m sure you have many questions! All new students are assigned a “buddy.” Your buddy is a second-year student in the program who will be happy to share their experience and answer any burning questions you need to know before your arrival. Your buddy will contact you via your McGill email after the offer acceptance deadline and once you have officially accepted your offer. If you don’t hear from your buddy please email firstname.lastname@example.org using your McGill email to be connected.
Another way to get in touch and get your questions answered is to contact your research supervisor or graduate students in their lab. Most professors have a website with their graduate students and their emails listed.
You can also meet other new and returning students is to follow the School Psych Student Association on Facebook and Twitter.
See you next fall!
